One of our fav pastimes weeks at the beach. Daddy would always watch the grands as he loved seeing the gulf from his chair on the balcony and take early morning and late evening walks. He loved cooking up seafood in the kitchen while the kids and I watched the sunset on the gulf. Those were golden days beautiful memories that cancer took from us. Nashville has always been home. My children were raised there and although I’ve lived in more places than most Nashville was always home. It’s been a few years since I have spent a Christmas back in Tennessee but we have such amazing memories of our friends, lights, parties and the overall peace the city brings during the holidays. I’m so excited to return to Nashville for the holidays this year to be with my daughter and now teenage grandson. I know we will continue making memories in their hometown and in a city I still love so much. Tomorrow is my first born’s birthday.some things she was given naturally like her strong will..she was a 42 weeker stubborn about coming into the world so she decided after a few false alarms to be induced at 42 weeks. I look at this picture taken at the hospital in Texas and smile. So much unfiltered love between a mother and her daughter. Back then there was no Instagram or FB to document The Bump, no pregnancy photo shoots, or ways to show what your Louis Vuitton hospital bag had in it, no nursery reveal, no baby moons with cute last pic of 2 pictures and no baby gender reveal. True story back then ultrasounds were fairly new and certainly no 4D anything so after my ultrasound I said girl or boy Dr said pretty sure it’s a boy. So we had the nursery decorated in blue. We had no name picked for a girl because a boy ( he would make his grand entrance 4 years later and would be named George Richard Archer,111 or Trey ) for his father and grandfather. We had discussed girl names early on but I didn’t worry because she was thought to be a he.
